Employees handling with personal data can work from home. Handling with personal data does not mean automatically the impossibility to provide home office to the employees. However, the employer must take appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the breach of personal data. The employer may determine the technical means used by the employee and, to a certain extent, to monitor the use of such means. The employer should also issue guidelines as to how the home-based employee should use the technique to avoid the data breach.
